The ingredients needed to prepare Veg Fish Curry:
  1. You need For Fish
  2. You need 1 bowl Besan
  3. Take 1 tbsp Grinded fennel seeds
  4. Get To taste Salt
  5. Provide 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  6. Take 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  7. Get 1/2 tsp kasuri methi
  8. Get As required Water (for tight dough to make thick layer)
  9. You need 1 tbsp oil for frying besan fish of each portion
  10. Prepare For Curry -
  11. Provide 2 onions
  12. Provide 5 garlic cloves
  13. Provide 1 tomato
  14. Take 1 green chilli
  15. Provide 1 tsp kasuri methi(homemade)
  16. Use 1 tbsp oil
  17. Use to taste Salt
  18. Provide 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  19. Take 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  20. Get 1/2 tsp garam masala
  21. Get 2 tsp Coriander powder
  22. Provide 3/4 glass water
Instructions to make Veg Fish Curry:
  1. Take besan in a mixing bowl,add saunf,salt,lal mirch powder, haldi powder, kasuri Methi and by gradually adding water make tight dough. All masala s are added so that besan fish taste yummy and not just simple taste of besan ya only curry taste.
  2. Now in a pan add 1 tspoon oil(including both sides) and with spoon place besan aata by making it flat in shape but thick so that later fish shape can be cut.
  3. Now fry this base on both sides and once it comes down to normal temperature after removing from pan, with sharp knife gently cut various fish shapes or any 1 type of fish shape and can be of any size or shape. Here I have cut in different shape and size to make you all understand.
  4. Now side by side on other pan start making Restaurant Style curry adding Kasuri Methi to get that lovely aroma.
  5. Make fine paste of onion and garlic. In a pan take 1 tblspoon oil and once it's hot,add the paste. Saute till it separates from pan. Now make paste of tomato and green chilli and add to the previous saute paste. Saute it till the curry changes it's colour.
  6. Add masalas-salt,lal mirch powder, haldi powder,dhaniya powder,garam masala powder. Saute the curry nicely and then add 3/4 glass water to the curry. Let it boil. Once it starts boiling,add kasuri Methi (mine is hand made and hand crushed). Now mix nicely and let it boil,when the curry starts releasing restaurant type aroma,know that the curry is ready.
  7. Once curry is ready,place the veg fishes in curry and let it cook for 2/3 minutes more so that the curry masala is absorbed by the fish which enhances the taste and becomes little soft yet intact in shape and size. Here as the pictures shown is blur because I have taken while cooking and so the steam comes on mobile lens so it's blurred
  8. Once the Veg fish is ready place in serving bowl and enjoy with parathas ya rotis.
