The ingredients needed to make Khaman Waffle:
  1. Use 1 cup besan/gram flour
  2. You need 2 tbsp rava/sooji
  3. Use 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  4. You need 2 green chilli finely chopped
  5. Take 1/4 tsp Haldi/Turmeric powder
  6. Get 1 tsp sugar
  7. You need 1 pinch Hing/asafoetida
  8. Get to taste Salt
  9. Use 1 tsp lemon juice
  10. Take 1 tbsp oil

  12. Use For tempering
  13. Use 1/2 tsp eno fruit salt
  14. Prepare 3 tsp oil
  15. Get 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  16. Take 1 tsp sesame seeds
  17. Prepare 1 pinch Hing/asafoetida
  18. Prepare 1 tsp curry leaves
  19. Use 2 green chilli slit
  20. Take 1/4 cup water
  21. Take 1 tbsp sugar
  22. Use 1 tsp lemon juice
  23. Use 1/4 tsp salt
  24. Provide For garnishing
  25. You need 2 tbsp cheese grated
  26. Prepare 2 tbsp coriander leaves
Instructions to make Khaman Waffle:
  1. In a large bowl sieve besan and rava. Add ginger paste, green chilli, haldi, sugar, hing and oil and lemon juice.
  2. Prepare a smooth batter adding necessary water.
  3. Just before making the waffles add the fruit salt and mix gently.
  4. You can alternatively use a pinch of baking soda.
  5. Preheat a waffle iron machine according to it's manual.
  6. Apply little oil on waffle plate. Immediately pour batter into the waffle plates and spread evenly.
  7. Put some oil over the batter and close the lid.
  8. Let the waffles for atleast 5-7 minutes until nicely golden.
  9. Remove it from the waffle maker.
  10. Tempering :- heat oil and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and pinch of hing also.
  11. Add green chilli, few curry leaves and allow to splutter. Further add 2 tsp water and sugar and salt and mix well and boil the water well.
  12. Add lemon juice and mix well. Pour the tempering over waffle.
  13. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and grated cheese.
  14. Serve with garlic, red chilli chutney and green chutney.
