Before you jump to Vegan Gimbap recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about Make Healthy Eating A Part of Your Day-To-Day Life.
Healthy eating is today much more popular than it used to be and rightfully so. Poor diet is one factor in illnesses such as heart disease and high blood pressure which can put a drain on the economy. There are more and more efforts to try to get people to follow a more healthy lifestyle and yet it is also easier than ever to rely on fast, convenient food that is not good for our health. A lot of people typically assume that healthy diets demand a lot of work and will significantly change how they live and eat. In reality, though, merely making a couple of minor changes can positively impact everyday eating habits.
These types of changes are easy to accomplish with all sorts of foods and can apply to the oils you cook in and the spread you put on bread. Olive oil is a monounsaturated fat which can help to lower bad cholesterol. It also provides vitamin E which is great for your skin, among other things. If you presently consume plenty of fresh fruits and leafy greens, you may want to think about where you’re buying them and if it’s the best source. Organic foods are an excellent choice and will reduce any possible exposure to toxic chemical substances. Finding a local supplier of fresh produce will give you the choice of eating foods that still have virtually all of the nutrients which are usually lost when produce has been kept in storage before selling it.
Therefore, it should be somewhat obvious that it’s not at all hard to add healthy eating to your daily lifestyle.
We hope you got insight from reading it, now let’s go back to vegan gimbap recipe. You can cook vegan gimbap using 11 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you achieve it.
The ingredients needed to prepare Vegan Gimbap:
- You need 1.5 cup cooked rice (sushi rice is better)
- Prepare Roasted seaweed for Maki (about 8"x 8" in size)
- Prepare 1 pack lettuce
- You need 1 large firm tofu
- Prepare 1 pc cucumber
- You need 1 pc carrot
- Prepare 1 pc sweet mango
- Provide 2 tbsp vinegar (for sushi rice)
- Prepare 1 tbsp sugar (for sushi rice)
- You need Salt & pepper (for tofu)
- Provide Roasted sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions to make Vegan Gimbap:
- Cook rice as you would normally cook it.
- While waiting for the rice to cook. Slice your firm tofu lengthwise (like french fries). Season with some salt and pepper. And deep fry it until crispy.
- Slice your carrots, cucumber and mangoes lengthwise same with tofu. Set aside.
- When rice is ready, remove from rice cooker or pan while rice is still hot or warm. Place it in a bowl. Add the vinegar and sugar to make it a little bit sticky. Then sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds to add flavor.
- Now it is assemble time! 😁
- Lay down roasted seaweed first. Then cover it up with your lettuce. Then spread thinly the rice on top of lettuce. Make sure lettuce and rice is less than the perimeter of the seaweed (about half inch?) so you can still enclose it after rolling.
- In the middle, arrange your carrots, cucumber, fried tofu.
- Then roll it! I only used bare hands, but it is easier with bamboo mat.
- Slice it and enjoy!
