The ingredients needed to make Hot Fudge Sauce:
- You need 1 cup heavy cream
- Prepare 6 oz good quality milk chocolate, I used Lindt brand, chopped
- Get 6 oz good quality dark chocolate I used Lindt 70 percent bars, chopped ( semi sweet will also work )
- Use 2 tbsp unsalted butter cut into 2 pieces
- Take 1 tsp vanilla extract
Steps to make Hot Fudge Sauce:
- Place both chopped chocolates in a heat proof bowl, set aside
- Place cream and butter in a saucepan and heat over medium low heat until butter is melted and mixture is almost to a simmer, do not boil.
- Pour hot cream / butter mixture over chopped chocolate in the bowl. Let sit 30 seconds to melt chocolate. Add the vanilla and whisk until smooth.
